Questions before you trust a number

What an audit reads, what it cannot see, and what you can do with it.

What does an influencer audit actually check?

It looks at the audience behind an account and at the interactions on its posts, rather than at the totals the profile displays. Followers, likes and views can all be bought, so a report built on those numbers repeats the manipulation back to you. An audit reads who engages, how they engage, and whether that behaviour is consistent with the account's size and history.

Do I need the creator's permission to run an audit?

No. ProveitGo works from the outside, on public data only. You never connect an account and the creator is not notified. That is the point: you are deciding whether to pay someone, and that decision has to be possible before you contact them.

Which platforms can I audit?

Instagram and YouTube today. Paste a profile URL or search by name and the audit runs on the public profile. TikTok is not available yet.

How long does an audit take?

Around a minute. The profile, the recent posts, the engagement analysis and the written conclusion are produced in one pass, and the report appears progressively as each part completes rather than after a long wait on a blank screen.

What counts as a good score?

Read the verdict and the underlying signals rather than chasing a number. A creator can score well overall and still carry one weakness that matters for your campaign, and a mid score with a healthy audience is often a better partner than a high score built on volume. The report names the specific risk so you can judge it against what you are buying.

How do you detect fake followers?

By examining the accounts that interact and the shape of the engagement they produce. Bought followers and coordinated engagement leave traces that a follower count cannot hide: activity that does not match the audience, comments whose content does not match the post, growth that arrives in steps rather than in a curve. The report shows what was found so you can see the reasoning, not just the conclusion.

Can a creator dispute the result?

Yes, and that is deliberate. The report carries the material behind the verdict, so a creator who disagrees can be shown what was actually observed. That conversation is impossible with a tool that outputs a score out of 100 and nothing else, and it happens more often than tool comparisons admit.

Can I export the report as a PDF?

Yes. Every audit can be downloaded as a full PDF report, and shared by link. It is built for the moment you have to justify a decision to a client, a manager or the creator.

Can I audit my own account?

Yes. It will not replace your analytics tab, which shows things no external tool can see, but it reads your profile the way a brand evaluating you would. Creators use it to find out what a sponsor sees before the sponsor sees it.

How is this different from a free engagement rate calculator?

A calculator returns one percentage from public totals. It is enough to disqualify an obviously bad account and not enough to approve a good one, because the totals it divides are exactly the part that gets bought. An audit examines the accounts behind those totals and the content of the interactions.

Does it track sales after the campaign starts?

Yes. Campaign links are tracked through to Shopify and Google Analytics, so the same place that told you a creator was worth paying tells you afterwards whether they sold anything. Verification and results stop being two tools and a spreadsheet.
